It also attempts to determine the factors thatmostly affect co-ordination of health service programmesof the Board, and how such factors influence theefficient delivery of services to the people.The health of the people depends on the quality andquantity of the health services provided by the government,which in turn depend on effective management of theagency or machinery responsible for the discharge of theseservices.The study essentially employed the questionnaireand interview methods for data collection. A stratifiedrandom sampling was used in selecting the subjectsbecause the sample was not homogenous. Using thistechnique a total of 225 respondents were sampled forthis study. The technique used in analyzing data arethe statistical frequency distribution and simplepercentages. The major hypotheses tested revealed thatthere is ineffective co-ordination of health servicesby the Board. Our analysis also indicated thatco-ordination could be seen from the perspective ofinternal and external or vertical and horizontaldimensions.(vii)On the factors the mostly affect co-ordinationit was revealed that a combination of variables affectco-ordination in the Board. And the combined effectsof delegation, informal groups activities andpolitical forces were negative. In the study thereforeefficient and satisfactory delivery of health servicesto the teeming population has been an illusion.Finally, suggestions for improvement were made and inthis way the government will endeavour to fulfill itssocial responsibility for the sake of good life.
