The availability and the growing number of shopping centers in Ethiopia,rnparticularly in Addis Ababa helped many customers get access to the goodsrnand services they want. These shopping centers host quite many shops,rnoffices, entertainment places and other facilities that would make mostrncustomers interested to visit them.rnHowever, the possibility of easily locating a particular facility in the shoppingrncenters may be a challenging task. Currently, most shopping centers usernsigns, boards, and advertisement screens fixed in one place to providerninformation regarding the shopping center. However, these informationrnprovision mechanisms are not enough to allow users access relevantrninformation while moving through the shopping center.rnConsidering the fact that most mobile devices are Bluetooth enabled, arnBluetooth Enabled Information Provision System can be put as a solution tornfacilitate access to information within the shopping centers.rnHence, in this project a Bluetooth enabled information provision system isrndeveloped to help users to access information regarding shopping centerrnfacilities using their mobile phone. Therefore, the system is organized in tornthree components namely: the desktop application, Bluetooth server, andrnadministrator subsystems. The desktop application provides a mechanism torncommunicate with the database server and handles user’s data requests.rnThe Bluetooth server is responsible for handling the Bluetooth communicationrnbetween the mobile device and the server.
