From the review of the literature and in-depth study on environmental problems, it can bernconcluded that there is insufficient information regarding the negative impact of refugees andrnhost community on environment and its impact on environmental security; the nexus betweenrnenvironmental management of UNHCR and environmental security in and around tierkidirnrefugee camp. The main aim of this study are to investigate the practices, effects and challengesrnof environmental management by UNHCR in and around Tierikidi refugee camp and its relationsrnwith the environmental security. The findings are more emphasized and analyzed qualitativelyrnand quantitively in light of primary sources gathered by questionnaires, interviewing and thernstudy used purposive sampling technique and Spatial ( GIS ) Data collection and analysis.Thernresult of this research show that environmental degradation in and around Tierkidi refugeerncamp resulted mainly because of refugee and there is sever conflicts between host communityrnand refugee due to scarce resource(environmental insecurity). Consequently, the impact ofrnenvironmental deterioration on the refugees themselves and host community is intense. To solvernthses problem UNHCR has been taken different environmental mangemnt practices . The resultrnindicated that Despite the implementation of various environmental management projectsrnintended to prevent future degradation and rehabilitate already degraded areas, resourcerndepletion and degradation is still a significant problem for both refugees and host community.rnOn this basis, it is recomended that there should be effective corrective measure like decreasingrnthe number of refugees to the standard, increased environmental awareness raising, increasernbudget for environmental management (mitigation)activities, creating income generatingrnactivities, continuous and participatory conflict resolution measures ,effective and fruit fullrncoordination among different stake holders and generally there should be effective actions orrnmeasures to be taken to came in to being Optimistic scenario in and around tierkidi refugeerncamp.
