BACKGROUND-Prolactinomas are the most common type of pituitary adenomas in both sexesrnwith different age distribution.They are benign neoplasms accounting for approximately 40% ofrnall pituitary tumors. They are classified into two main groups based on the size of pituitaryrntumour at presentation: microprolactinoma (tumour diameter 1 cm). The clinical presentation of prolactinoma includes manifestationsrnrelating to hyperprolactinaemia and features relating to tumor bulk. rnOBJECTIVE- The objective of this study is to assess the clinical profile, diagnosis and treatmentrnresponse of patients with prolactinoma on follow up at endocrine clinic ofTikurAnbessarnspecialized Hospital(TASH). rnMETHOD; Ahospital based retrospective cross sectional study was conducted on adult patientsrnwith confirmed prolactinoma attending Endocrine clinicof TASH from June, 2015 to June 2020.rnAll patients with prolactinoma on follow up at endocrine clinic of TASHon the stated periodrnwere included. Data collection was conducted by the principal investigatorfrom the charts andrnelectronic medical records of patients using a structured questionnaire. Data was cleared andrnentered to IBM SPSS version 26. Result was processed and analyzed using SPSS versionrn26.Descriptive statistics were used as a statistical data analysis method and presented asrnfrequencies and percentages with their corresponding confidence intervals.
