This study was conducted to examine the relationship between Human Resource Managementrnpractices and Employee Job Satisfaction in Ethiopian Banking Industry in the selected threernBanks (Commercial Ban of Ethiopia, Dashen Bank and Bank of Abyssinia). Human Resourcernmanagement practices are considered an essential tool to develop and motivate employees. Thisrncross-sectional survey study was empirical, used explanatory research approach and bothrnprimary and secondary data are utilized. The primary data were collected by distributingrnquestionnaires to 370 employees of the selected three Banks. The collected data were enteredrnand analyzed using SPSS version 20.0 to analyze the frequencies, descriptive statistics, one-wayrnANOVA, Pearson correlation and regression analysis. The ANOVA result showed that,rndemographic variable; Gender, Age, position, Work experience and Education have nornrelationship with Job Satisfaction. The regression analysis of the study showed that all humanrnresource management practices investigated in the study have a direct and positive statisticallyrnsignificant effect on Job Satisfaction. Specifically, the findings indicated that Recruitment andrnSelection Practices, Employee Relations, Training and Development Practices, Performancernappraisal Practices, Reward and Compensation have a positive effect on Job Satisfaction.rnTherefore, human resource management (HRM) of Ethiopian banks should work to improve therndesired competencies of employees in order to promote Job Satisfaction. The overall implicationrnof the study result is that, since the human resource management practice has significant positivernassociation with Job Satisfaction, the Banks management should work on maintaining humanrnresource management practices
