Assessment Of Risk Management And Air Freight Handling Process The Case Of Ethiopian Cargo And Logestics Services

This research examined the assessment of risk management in the air freight handlingrnprocess. To achieve the objectives of this study descriptive design was used. Data wasrncollected through a questionnaire from a sample of 109 employees of Ethiopian cargo andrnlogistics at Addis Ababa airport that were selected using Slovakia sampling techniques.rnAfter carefully collecting the data descriptive statistics such as mean, standard deviation,rnand percentage used to analyze the data. The results of this study indicate that riskrnmanagement practice dimensions such as (objective setting and risk identification, riskrnassessment, risk response, control, inform and monitor risks) have scored above thernminimum requirements of Cronbach’s alpha. The finding of the study indicates also thatrnemployees were satisfied with the risk management in the air freight handling processrndimension. Based on the findings of the study, the researcher forwards soundrnrecommendations including that need assessment should start analyzing the organization,rntasks and people level, the risk identification evaluation and feedback which have to berndone before, during and after risk assessment. Finally, Ethiopian cargo and logistics atrnAddis Ababa airport have to reassess its risk assessment and the air freight handlingrnprocess and design as much as possible.
