Background: Burn is a skin and tissue damage caused by agent like fire, scald, electricity,rnsunlight, chemical or nuclear radiation. Burn injury is a major contributor to morbidity andrnmortality in sub-Saharan Africa. Burn in children can have long term physical, psychological,rneconomic and social implication on them and their families with ongoing treatment,rnrehabilitation and the need for regular interventions.rnObjective: The aim of this study was to assess outcome of burn injury and associated factorsrnamong children in FelegeHiwot Referral Hospital, Bahirdar town, Amhara regional state,rnEthiopia, 2017.rnMethods: Institution based retrospective cross sectional study design was conducted fromrnOctober to June 2017.A total of 102 burn patients were selected by simple random samplingrnmethod. Data was collected from patients’ medical record by data collection sheetrnretrospectively from 2011 to 2016.Bivariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses werernemployed to identify associated factors for outcome of burn injury.rnResult: a total of 102 burn patients included in this study. The overall prevalence of burn injuryrnwas 0.46%.The mean age of burn patients was 9.56±5.49 years (range: 1 year to 17 years).Inrnalmost all age groups the prevalence of burn injury is higher among females. The mean TBSArn(total body surface area) burned was 12.56 ± 8.91 with a range of 1–48%.A child burned withrn>20% of TBSA has 42.4 times higher to recover with scar and disfigurement as compared tornchildren with
