Superconductivity and magnetism usually try to avoid each other. This featurerncan be exploited to, for example, levitate a magnet above superconductor. The discoveryrnof magnetic materials that are also superconductors has reconciled these twornphysical phenomena that were previously thought to be incompatible. The recent discoveryrnof compounds that are both ferromagnetic and superconducting at the samerntime came as a surprise to many physicists. The mechanism of superconductivityrnin these superconductors is not known. There are suggestions of spin fluctuationsrnas mediating superconductivity. In the present work we examine the possible coexistencernof spin density wave and superconductivity. For this we have obtainedrnexpressions which relate the order parameters of these two states. Both singlet andrntriplet superconductivity are considered. The diagrams show the variation of the orderrnparameters SC and SDW with temperature and also the coexistence region ofrnSDW and superconductivity
