The purpose of the present study was to investigate Factors that Affect the Enrollmentrnand Implementation of IFAE in some selected kebeles of Sebeta Town. For this purpose arnmixed research design which uses both qualitative and quantitative data method wasrnemployed. The study conducted on 88 randomly selected adult and non formal educationrnstudents from Sebeta town. Data collected using questionnaire were analyzed usingrnquantitative data collection methods like percentage and data collected using qualitativerndata collection method was analyzed using thematic data collection method. Accordingly,rnit was found out that there was low enrollment of students into adult and non formalrneducation in Sebeta town. This low enrollment is due to challenges related to lack of timernto participate in formal and adult education, lack of budget to run adult education.rnBesides, nature of contents included in adult and non formal education is not somethingrnthat is directly related to the life of adults. Moreover, the goal of adult education is notrndirectly related to the goal that the adults put. Moreover, some adults have related theirrneducation with their self esteem. Besides, time schedule and contents did not consider thernexisting situation of adults who have lots of responsibilities. Teaching adults has its ownrnmethodology; lack of training on adult and non-formal education ,lack of uniform rulesrnon adult and non formal education were some of the factors that constrain thernimplementation of adult education. Finally, It was recommended that awareness creationrntraining has to be given for the population through different media like radio andrndifferent social networks both for adults and the society at large on the overall impacts ofrnadult and non formal education.
