The dichloromethane: methanol (1:1) extract of Senna floribunda afforded two bianthraquinones:rnfloribundone-1(11) and 5, 7’- physcion – fallacinol (15) along with three commonrnanthraquinones: chrysophanol (5), physcion (8) and emodin (3). Several un-characterizedrnpigments were also isolated. The compounds are identified on the basis of their color reactionsrnand spectroscopic data
