Indoor thermal comfort is an important feature of sustainable building and is necessary for arnsafe indoor environment. In terms of thermal comfort, condominium building expectations,rntolerance, and preferences vary across Addis Ababa's climate zones. As a result, the purpose ofrnthis study is to assess the internal thermal comforts of condominium residential houses in AddisrnAbaba, Ethiopia. Subjective and objective measurements were used in this investigation byrncollecting a cross sectional data from a sample of 130 condominium residents from September 4rnto 12. The ASHRAE seven-point thermal feeling scale is used to determine the subjectivernmeasurement. To assess interior thermal comfort, an adaptive comfort model was used inrnaccordance with the ASHRAE standard. In terms of thermal sensational votes between 1 and +1,rn50.9 percent of respondents at Tsion condominium are content with the internal thermalrnenvironment, but 25.4 percent of respondents at Gelan condominium houses are. Similarly, 45.6rnpercent of Tsion condominium residents said they would want their properties to stay thernsame or only be slightly colder or warmer. Condominium houses in both hot and coldrnclimates were, on average, not in conformity with the adaptive comfort standard's 80rnpercent acceptance zone. As a result, policymakers in the construction sector shouldrnaddress issues of thermal comfort in future planning.
