Commercial bank of Ethiopia (CBE) is the biggest state owned bank and the largest commercialrnbank in the country. The bank has a vision to be a world class commercial bank by the year 2025.rnThe main objective of this research is to identify the major factors influencing employee turnoverrnin commercial bank of Ethiopia (CBE) and provide professional advices that would help the bankrnto reduce turnover and retain its competent personnel. The study used both primary andrnsecondary data. The primary data was collected using semi structured questionnaires andrninterview with HR directs of the bank. Sample sizes of 126 employees were selected for thernquestionnaire. Interview with HR director was made based on the survey result. The bank’srnquarter report, annual report and magazine were examined as a secondary data. The data gatheredrnfrom the respondents analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) and using therndescriptive analysis. Data analyzed by using descriptive statistics which includes calculating thernnumber and percentages, frequency distribution tables.
