The main objective of this study was to examme the relationshiprnbetween occupational characteristics and psychological well-being ofrnemploy ed women. In light of this objective, 15 organizations, 18rnoccupation and 180 employed women were selected by convenientrnand pervasive sampling technique (150 for questioner and 30 forrninterview). In order to ensure fair representation s of employed women,rnthey were categorized based on their geographical location (20 fromrneach sub-city). Quantitative analyses were used to analyze the datarnobtained through the questionnaires. To investigate the relation shiprncorre lation s were performed. To explore the predictive powerrnregressIOns analysis was used. To find out the group differencesrnindependent sample T-test was used. Alpha value of 0.01 was usedrnfor significance tests in this study. More over, all quantitative analysisrnwere done using SPSS 12.The information from the interview wasrncategorized in themes and analyzed using qualitative methods. Givenrnour findings, it seems warranted that Stress has a negative andrncontrol has a positive significant relationship with the psychologicalrnwell-being of employ ed women but not income. Among them, Controlrnis a strong predictor of employed women's psychological well being.rnAnd ages, marital status, numbers of children and educational levelrnhave a relationship with psychological well-being of employed women.rnAmong them, educational level is a strong predictor of employedrnwomen's psychological well being. There is also a difference inrnpsychological well-being between married and un-married employedrnwomen i.e. married employed women have better psychological wellbeingrnthan unmarried employed women .More over the copingrnmechanisms used by employed women are their own, not somethingrnthey got from professional support.
