Taxi service is important for mobility and better life of society, Addis Ababa taxi users sufferrnfrom poor service provision behaviors of taxi conductors. Various measures were taken by therncity transport branch office. However, personal observations indicate that problems are plenty.rnIn fact, formal evaluation of service provision behavior of conductors is not addressed yet. Thus,rnin line of the above gap, the objectives of the study were to: i) identify Addis Ababa taxi users’rnlevel of satisfaction on service provision behavior of taxi conductors (Woyalas,) ii) identifyrnmanifestations of negative and positive service provision behavior of taxi conductors, iii) see ifrnthere significant difference on the level of satisfaction on quality of service provision behaviorsrnof conductors among different groups of taxi users, iv) identify group of taxi users most affectedrnby poor behavioral quality of taxi conductors, v) see how far rules and regulations of taxiservicernare maintained by taxi conductors, and vi) identify most frequently raised factors forrnconflict between taxi users and conductors during taxi service provision. The study used more ofrnprimary data collected through questionnaire. They were analyzed through descriptive andrninferential statistics. Findings of the study indicate that taxi users are not satisfied with servicernprovision behaviors of taxi conductors and rules and regulation of taxi service is not practicedrnwell. In addition, it is found that taxi conductors contribute significantly for a conflict to arise inrntaxi. Therefore, to make the system more effective, Addis Ababa Road Transport Authorityrnshould take some remedial actions.
