Assessment Of The Satisfaction Of The Survivors Of Child Sexual Abuse About The Psychosocial Services Of Integrated Family Service Organization

The study assessed the Satisfaction of Survivors‘ of Child Sexual Abuse about the PsychosocialrnServices of Integrated Family Service Organization. To achieve the overall objective the studyrndata was collected data from children survivors of sexual abuse, counselors, and thernorganizations of management using questionnaire and interview. Accordingly 50child survivorsrnof child sexual abuse and all management and counselors of the center were selected using onernof the non-probability sampling methods, convenience sampling technique. The data wasrnanalyzed using descriptive data analysis method, and major discussions were provided in to twornmajor parts, In the first part the study discussed data collected from child survivors of sexualrnabuse while in the second part the interviews conducted with the counselor and managementrnwere presented. The findings showed that, even if a large number of clients are satisfied with thernoverall psychosocial services rendered by the organization, there are some gaps that should bernimproved to give a better service such as easy access to the center, professional barriers to userndifferent diagnostic tools, limited source of fund, problem of proportionality between the numberrnof professionals and clients and absence of standardized counseling room at Integrated FamilyrnService Organization. There was also a significant number of clients that expressed theirrndissatisfaction for a number of reasons such as the inaccessibility and problem of transportationrnto the center, inadequate time of counseling sessions from time to time, financial problems tornmeet basic needs that contribute to their satisfaction level, Some of the respondents in the lowerrnage category may not have understood the questions. Hence, they may not respond appropriately.rnInadequate follow up and supervision were also reported by clients. Though service providersrnwere happy with the changes they have seen and that they have emphasized there is a need forrnstandard tools and guidelines for the different therapies so as to give a proper treatment andrnoverall psychosocial service for the client in order to rehabilitate them from their physical,rnemotional, behavioral and sexual problem/s
