Reunification is used as a means to re-unit children separated from their families to restore a familyrnenvironment for the proper upbringing and development of the child. The objective of this study is tornexplore attributes (positive and negative) of reunification on psychological and social lives ofrnsexually abused and returned home children. The assessment of this qualitative study tried to identifyrnand listed the psychological and social problems. The study uses ca'Se study method, apply semistructuredrnin-depth interview, and collect data from reunified female children who faced the problem.rnThe study uses purposive sampling technique and a total of eleven retum home children. The majorrnconcems like reason of run away, psychological and social problems, and fee lings of family membersrnand neighbors in relation to reunification is discussed. It identifies major psychosocial problems thatrnthose children faced during reunification and its effects on their psychological health and socialrnrelation. The data collected fl.-om the in-depth interview, discussion and documentation were narratedrnand analyzed. The findings showed that reunifications results shorter and longer tenn psychologicalrnand social problems and the children shows feeling of fear, depression and poor peer relationship.rnGenerally, the assessment underlies the need to give attention to those children who are facing thernproblem and the alternative child care system (reunification). Future researchers should prefer to aimrnon gaining knowledge on the long-term effects of post reunification programs. So social workersrncould resolve this limitation by adding specifies when interviewing participants. The study wasrnconcemed about the poor, voiceless, discriminated and for those who are living in continuousrninjustice. So mobilizing the community through effective ways in assisting reunifying children torntheir family can be one of the ways that aim social work profession can be achieved.
