The purpose of this study was to examine the participation of female trainees inrnTVET colleges in South Wallo Zone. The study was aimed to examine thernparticipation of female trainees in relation to the support given namely libraryrnusage, renting houses, sexual harassment tutorial support and itsrnimplementation, guidance and counseling service. To this end, both quantitativernand qualitative research method were employed for the study. The sample forrnTVET colleges was selected from Amhara Region South Wollo Zone, namely, W / rornSihin and Kombolcha TVET colleges. These sample TVET Colleges were selectedrnon the basis of availability sampling technique. The subjects of the study werern207 trainees, 49 trainers, 3 deans and 2 guidance and counselors. Purposivernand the availability sampling techniques were employed to select the collegesrnand respondents. Questionnaires, interviews and document analysis were usedrnto gather the data. The data obtained were analyzed through statistical methodrn(Percentage and mean score). The general result of the study revealed that therernare factors that impede the participation of female trainees in connection withrnrenting houses, guidance and counseling services tutorial ser.vices, harassmentrnand the like. It is recommended that boarding school services should be given byrnthe colleges, and female affairs committee should be established to find possiblernsolutions. It is also advised to design a tutorial program at TVET level, especiallyrnfor f emale trainees.
