NLNG Recruitment 2026 Is Open for 3 Operations Jobs

Nigeria LNG Limited, NLNG, is recruiting experienced operations professionals for three plant roles at its Bonny Island facility in Rivers State. If you hold a Higher National Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline and have hands on experience in liquefied natural gas operations, this is a strong opening to apply for.

The three vacancies are Shift Operator, Operations Supervisor and Shift Principal Operator. The 3 NLNG Operations Vacancies

1. Shift Operator, PO/2026/001

The Shift Operator carries out daily field operational activities in an assigned plant area, working safely and efficiently to keep production steady and in line with daily targets. The role is a safety critical position, so the successful candidate will work as a human barrier in line with defined safety controls.

Requirements:

• Higher National Diploma, HND, in Chemical, Instrumentation and Control, Petroleum/Gas, Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Civil, Structural, Environmental, Marine, Metallurgical, Materials or Software Engineering, obtained at a minimum of Upper Credit level
• Minimum of 4 years working experience in LNG operations
• Skill in LNG process and auxiliary operating areas, including gas transmission, natural gas treatment, pre-cooling and liquefaction, liquid handling, LNG utilities, storage and loading

2. Operations Supervisor, PO/2026/002

The Operations Supervisor leads and supervises all operational activities in an assigned area of the plant to ensure safe, efficient and reliable performance. The role covers monitoring and controlling operations, optimising plant conditions, managing start ups and shutdowns, responding to emergencies and maintaining production continuity.

Requirements:

• Higher National Diploma, HND, in a relevant engineering discipline listed above, obtained at a minimum of Upper Credit level
• Minimum of 10 years working experience in LNG operations, with at least 3 years experience in plant operations
• Evidence of acquisition of the required 12 Assessment and Progression, A and P, Skill Blocks

3. Shift Principal Operator, PO/2026/003

The Shift Principal Operator carries out field operational activities within an assigned plant area safely and efficiently to ensure reliable, stable and sustained production in line with operational and production targets. Like the other roles, it is a safety critical position.

Requirements:

• Higher National Diploma, HND, in a relevant engineering discipline listed above, obtained at a minimum of Upper Credit level
• Minimum of 8 years working experience in LNG operations
• Evidence of acquisition of 9 Assessment and Progression, A and P, Skill Blocks

What You Should Know Before You Apply

These are hands on, safety critical plant roles at Bonny Island. Successful candidates must be willing and able to work the prescribed shift rotation, work at heights and above water, particularly at the loading jetties, where required, take part in emergency response and serve on the First Intervention Team as required, and wear prescribed Personal Protective Equipment correctly and consistently.

Candidates must also maintain a clean shaven face while on shift rotation for effective use of Breathing Apparatus, ensure head hair allows the safe and proper use of helmets and other PPE, and meet applicable fitness to work requirements.
