The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of leadership behavior on employee jobrnsatisfaction in Ethiopian Large Taxpayers office based on path goal leadership theory. Thernstudy employed explanatory research design and quantitative research approach. Primaryrndata was collected from structured questionnaire and secondary data was collected fromrnprevious studies, journals, articles and books. The study used J. Carvalho “Archivalrnapplication of mathematical sampling techniques. Accordingly, 80 questionnaires wererndistributed and 72 were obtained & used for further analysis. The collected data wasrnanalyzed using SPSS software version 21. In addition, to analyze the collected datarndescriptive statistic, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were used. Thernfinding of this study indicated that supportive leadership behavior has a positive and strongrnsignificant effect on job satisfaction on LTO employees. And directive behavior hasrninsignificant effect on job satisfaction of LTO employees. It is also indicated that currentlyrnthe most dominant type of behavior is supported leader behavior. Accordingly the researcherrnforwarded the following recommendation. The company should practice of using supportivernleadership behavior which has significant effect on job satisfaction. The company should alsornconduct job satisfaction surveys from time to time & take corrective actions on areas thatrnneed improvement.
