The main purpose of this study was to assess the effect of leadership style on employee engagement in case of Nib-International-Bank S.C. Three main types of leadership-styles; transformational, transactional and autocratic leadership styles have been considered as independent variables to predict the dependent variable, employee engagement in NIB. Samples size of 80 employees was non-randomly selected to gather the primary data required to conduct the investigation from 320 target population. Self-administered Multifactor- Leadership-Questionnaire (MLQ) was used to investigate the respondents’ perception towards their immediate supervisor’ leadership styles and Utrecht-Work-Engagement-Rater was used to assess their own engagement level. The raw data gathered from respondents was analyzed using SPSS version 23.0 with which descriptive, frequencies, percentages and other inferential statistical tools like correlation and regression analysis were used to analyze the results of the study. The findings of the study revealed that the engagement level of NIB employees is a little bit more than average and the predominantly exhibited leadership style in NIB as perceived by the employees is transformational leadership style even though the three leadership styles are practiced in a mixed way with different degree of frequency. The results of correlation and regression analysis have shown that transformational-leadership-style positively and significantly affects employee engagement in NIB, transactional leadership style also affects engagement positively but its effect is insignificant and autocratic leadership style on the other hand does negatively and significantly affect employee-engagement at NIB. So based on the research findings NIB was recommended to encourage its supervisors to use more of transformational leadership style and discourage using autocratic leadership style to enhance the current moderate engagement level of its employees
