Belayneh Worku The major purpose of the study was to investigate the problem of implementingrnbusiness education curriculum in Addis Ababa government TVET institutes.rnTo this effect descriptive survey research method was employed and four TVETrninstitutes were selected randomly. Questionnaires and observation checklistsrnwere prepared and administered, to collect data from 18 education bureaurnofficials, 32 TVET administrators, 54 TVET trainers, and 333 trainees. Therncollected data were analyzed using percentage.rnThe result of the study indicates that there are considerable number of trainersrnwho teach in the training institutes without fulfilling the minimum educationalrnqualification B. Sc. or B.A, and there are insufficient instructional materials andrnrelevant reference books.rnThe finding also reveals that there are inadequate training facilities that help therntrainee to develop skills and there is no advisory committee and qualityrnassurance organization to measure the occupational standard of the trainees.rnBesides, the apprenticeship training program is not implemented as it isrnexpected. Consequently, the implementation of business education curriculum inrnthe T T institutes is not as effective as it should have been in order to enablernthe trainees to have the mastery of skills for self and wage employment.
