The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between employees’ job satisfaction and organizational change in UNECA. Correlation research design was used to explore the relationship between employees’ job satisfaction and organizational change in UNECA, Addis Ababa in the year 2017/2018. The research sample was composed of 86 professional officers, national officers and 152 general service staff. These samples were drawn from the total population of 238 respondent using simple random sampling techniques for selection of sample professional officers, national officers and general service staff from the organization. Moreover, the data gathering tools for this research were two sets of standardized questionnaires. Accordingly, the Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS) developed by Spector (1987) and Organizational Change Recipients Belief Scale (OCRBS) developed by Armenakis et al. (2007), standardized questionnaire is distributed to respondents to gather the necessary data. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics such as percentages; mean average and standard deviation along with, one-way ANOVA and inferential statistics such as t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient and regression analysis. The findings revealed the level job satisfaction of employees were satisfactory and mostly intrinsic factors such as supervision, co-workers, communication and nature of works. The findings also indicated that organizational change perception on discrepancy, appropriateness, efficacy and valence was very high and moderate category on principal support for the change effort. The study suggested that there was a statistically significant positive correlation between employees’ overall job satisfaction and organizational change. Finally, recommendations were made on the need of conducting continuous assessments of employees’ job satisfaction periodically, development and training opportunities might raise staff job satisfaction.
