The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of human resource Practices on employee performance in the case of ministry of trade and industry. To achieve the study objectives, the researcher developed, distributed questionnaires, collected and analyzed the data with SPSS tool by using descriptive analysis and inferential statistics. Samples of 275 employees were selected from the population of 887 by using simple random techniques; 270 questionnaires was collected back; the response rate was 98.8%. The descriptive statistics result shows that the perceptions of employee of (recruitment and selection, and Reward management, Performance appraisal and training and development) were low. The Correlation results indicated that recruitment and selection, Reward management, Performance appraisal and training and development were significantly and positively correlated with the employee performance in MOTI. In regression analysis recruitment (29.3%) and selection and reward management (23.7%) have greater effect on employee performance in the ministry. In genegeral, the variation of 45.9% of employee performance due to the predictors of Human resource practices (recruitment and selection, and Reward management, Performance appraisal and training and development)
