The three thing which generally deterring performance are: motivation,rnability and the work environment. Here the factors determining thernmotivation of an employee are closely related to the dimensIons o'f jobrnsatisfaction.rnThis study is conducted to find out the extent to which job satisfaction ofrnemployees has affected their performance in Unity University College.rnThe mam objective of the research is to identify the job satisfactionrnvariables which motivate employees of the university college for betterrnperformance.rnrnTowards achieving its objectives the study used both pnmary andrnsecondary sources of data. The primary data was collected through arnquestionnaire and personal interview. The Minnesota satisfactionrnquestionnaire was the model used to measure job satisfaction. Thernresearch used 20 different job related facets with five questions underrneach dimensions. Employees indicated about each item on a five pointrnscale ranging from "very satisfied" to very "dissatisfied". PersonalrnI interview is also made with ·the personnel officer of the university college . .rnto get performance appraisal results of employees. The secondaryrnsources used in the study are; performance appraisal data recorded byrnthe college, study reports of the previous researchers related to the topic,rnarticles, and pUblications.rnThe analysis indicated that employees are neither satisfied norrndissatisfied but the average performance level is good.
