CNTs are very thin materials made from carbon by rolling graphene sheets. Arc-discharge,rnlaser ablation and chemical vapor deposition are well established techniques to preparerncarbon nanotubes. Mostly purification is carried out by chemical oxidation, acid treatmentrnand micro filtration techniques. Their nature, quality and properties examined byrnScanning Electron Microscopy(SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy(TEM), AtomicrnForce Microscopy (AFM), X-Ray Diffraction(XRD) and Raman Spectroscopy. CNTs havernmany technological applications due to their unique physical and chemical properties suchrnas high conductivity, high strength, low weight and high aspect ratio. Carbon nanotubesrn(CNTs) attracts significantly attention of the scientific community because of their remarkablernoptical, electronic, thermal, mechanical and chemical characteristics. Ramanrnspectroscopy is one of the most powerful tool to characterize the degree of disorder in sp2rncarbon materials with band ratio ( IDrnIGrn), of graphite powder, CNTs, and other allotropesrnof carbon. Thus, Raman spectroscopy determine the presence of crystalline, amorphusrncarbon and diameter of CNTs. In this project Raman spectra of graphite pristen samplernis studied from available data. The result indicated that the intensity at certain frequencyrnmode that corresponds to D-band is very large due to large amount of impurity content
