The aims of the study are to examine how HRD/ training, education and development affectrnperformance of the organization and to point out the most significant factors that influence thernperformance of Ethiopian Electric Utility south western region. The researcher had analyzedrnHRD/ training and development factor that influence organizational performance whichrnareHRD/training and development need assessment, HRD/training and development designrnmethods, HRD/training and development implementations, and HRD/training and developmentrnevaluation. A total of 181 questionnaires were distributed to 181 staffs at Ethiopian ElectricrnUtilitysouth western regional offices by hand and all 181 questionnaires were returned forrnanalysis. The data had been entered by Epi data and analyzed using Statistic Package for SocialrnSciences (SPSS). Research findings revealed the significant relationship between HRD/ training,rneducation and development variables with organizational performance.Thus the study showedrnthat among all variables, HRD evaluation had a major influence on organizational performancernand recommended thatthe organizations should give emphasis to improve its HRDrnimplementation by increasing workers participation in designing training and developmentrnimplementation programs
