The general objective of the study is to show the difference between Chinese andrnEthiopian employees work culture, to investigate if Chinese work culture can shape Ethiopianrnemployees, and to describe how Chinese work culture can shape Ethiopian employees. Arnqualitative research method was used for the study. 172 samples were randomly taken out ofrn300 population of the target firm “Wuzhen Miao Textile†which is one of the 60 firms of thernEastern Industrial Park at Dukem. The main source of the primary data was the researcherrnhimself, and the types of the primary data sources included observations, structured focus group discussions and structured questionnaires on organization work cultures. Descriptivernstatistics was used to analyze the data. The findings showed that the Chinese had positive workrnbehavior while the Ethiopians were characterized by negative counterproductive behaviors.rnThe study noted that counterproductive behavior at work places of the Chinese firm resulted inrna big problem for the management unit. The researcher observed that Chinese cultural value,rnConfucian dynamism resulted the value of diligence and working hard behavior of Ethiopianrnemployees. It was possible to observe that work behaviors such as cooperativeness,rninnovativeness, consistency and effectiveness were also seen among the local employees whornworked for duration of one year and longer. Many low-skilled or semi-skilled Ethiopianrnworkers of Wuzhen Miao Textile factory have been upgraded through on-the-job training andrndirect work experience. This study is a useful contribution towards organizational as well asrnteam effectiveness and for increasing job performance.
