The research study conducted under this thesis investigates HIV Risk Behavior Practicernand helps to fight HIVIAIDS by changing people behavior. The sample involved in thernstudy consists of 200 individuals leaving in three selected sub-cities of Addis Ababa:rnYeka, Arada and Kirkose. The behavior that has been taken into consideration in thisrnstudy is HIV Risk Behavior and it ineludes: number of sexual partners, sexual practicernwith casual and high risk partners, condom use and failure, exposure to STD, sexualrntrading, using alcohol and dnlg for sexual initiation, deviant sexual practice like anal sexrnand sharing potentially contaminated sharp instnlments. The data has been collected byrnrnquestionnaire. The findings of the study suggested that a significant portion of thernresearch participants had multiple sexual partners, sexual practices with casual andrnhigh-risk partners, unprotected sexual intercourse i.e. sex without condom, exposed tornSTD and had poor condom use negotiating skill, which are some of the major factors thatrncontribute to the wide spread of HIV and they are at high risk of contracting orrntransmitting HIV infection. The study also indicated that a considerable portion of thernresearch participants were involved in anal sex, used alcohol and dnlg for sexualrninitiation, engaged in sexual trading in the form of paying or receiving money or materialrngoods in exchange of sex and they are at high risk of contracting or transmitting thernvirus. Blood donation and sharing sharp instruments were not found out to be riskyrnbehavior in the study
