The purpose of this study to investigate the problems of youth football project coaching in AddisrnAbaba and to find out the effective solutions for coaching youth footballers successfully. Myrnresearch sought to answer the following questions: (1) What problems, if any, concerning youthrnfootball project coaching do Addis Ababa youth football project face? (2) What effectivernsolutions needed for coaching youth footballers successfully? (3) What are the training methodsrnused by coaches in youth football projects of Addis Ababa? (4) What does the nature of therncoach-player interpersonal relationships look like? (5) What effective assessment strategies dornthose coaches employ to assess their coaching process/ youth football project coaching?rnTo answer these questions, I used a mixed method approach composed of qualitative andrnquantitative data collection and analysis. 10 male Addis Ababa youth football project coachesrnparticipated in this study. In addition, 25 male Addis Ababa youth football project players tookrnpart in the study. 10 of them were chosen purposefully to focus group discussion. Based on thernfindings of this study the recommendations are forwarded beneficial to young players and add tornthe professional literature in this area.rnkey words; project ,football, player coach, parent
