The main purpose of this study was to explore OBTVET implementationrnstatus in MGMBTC and suggest the necessary recommendations. To this end,rn36 teaching staff and 92 final year students of the college were filled out thernquestionnaires. In addition to the questionnaires, interviews, FGD, documentrnreview and observation had been used. Accordingly, the data obtained fromrndifferent sources were analyzed using both quantitative and qualitativernmethods. The result obtained revealed that available teaching staffs in termsrnof service years and educational qualification were seen sufficient. Except inrnsome competence areas of electrical department and armament technology, rnemployed teaching staffs were seen sufficient. However, there was no anrnofficer to facilitate guidance and counseling service in the college. Employedrnfinancial and physical resources were insufficient. Besides these constraints,rnOBTVET implementation had been affected by mismatch of teachingâ€learningrnprocess with OBTVET requirement. This had been the result of limitedrnawareness of the teaching staff. Lack of DOS in most competence areas hadrnbeen another limitation of the college to implement OBTVET. However, inrnsolving forgone problems existing teaching staff commitment in combinationrnwith their educational achievement and circumstances of the management inrnthe college observed as a good opportunity to enhance OBTVETrnimplementation. Therefore, MoND should give due attention on supplyingrnand facilitating of teachingâ€learning resources as well as provision of shortrnterm training to support OBTVET practices. Moreover, the college needs torndo in collaboration with defense units to alleviate shortage of demonstrationrnequipments and to enhance cooperative training
