The major purpose of this study was to investigate the problems andrnpossible solution with regards to quality of training in TechnologicalrnDepartment of Entoto TVET College. Training for high-quality skill requiresrnsufficient financial resources, appropriate training equipment and tools,rnadequate supply of training materials, and practice by the leamers. Otherrnrequirements include relevant textbooks, training manuals, and well-rnqualified instructors with industry-based experience in enterprises. Qualifiedrnmanagers and counseling departments a descriptive survey study wasrnemployed for the purpose of this study on the assumption that this methodrnis relevant to describe both the currently existing situation and events of thernpast 66 trainees' and 2 1 trainers were selected by stratified and purposivernrandom sampling techniques. Dean, financial head and TVET agencyrnrepresentative were included by using availability sampling technique.rnQuestionnaires: interviews were used as data collection instruments. Therncollected data were analyzed and the result of the study indicates that, therntraining center are not equipped with some physical facilities, shortage ofrnnecessary materials resources, poor purchasing system, lack ofrnmaintenance skill, shortage of heavy duty machines .The skill gaps of therntrainers and the administrative bodies are critical issue to the quality ofrntraining in industrial technology department which has to be givenrnattestation by concemed bodies .Based on the findings of the study,rnconclusions were drawn and recommendations were made.
