To conduct this study,rndescriptive survey method was employed. The study was conducted in lour selected TVETrncolleges ill Addis Ababa. Sun1ey questionnaires and interview question items werernprepared and used as data gathering instrum,ents. The instrwnents were piloted before thernmajor study was conducted. The major sources of the data to the study were TVETrncollege teachers selected /rom, the sample colleges (N=197), jour deans and two deputyrndeans from the selected colleges and two leaders oI Addis Ababa TVET agency. In,_rnselecting the sample colleges, purposive sampling technique was employed and to selectrnthe respondent teachers, stratified sampling method was used. The raw data collectedrnfrom different sources were tabulated, organized and analyzed by using descriptivernmethods such as percentage and weighted mean. The results of the study revealed that thernlevel of job satis/action of'the nwjority of' TVET teachers was found to be low due torninsufficient satislying elements like low salary as compared to what teachers perceived tornearn, poor working conditions without necessary instru.ctional materials and educationalrntechnologies and facilities, low professional status and recognition, poor communicationsrnbetween teachers and their leaders and poor technological Sltpport Irom college leadersrnand supervisors. Thus, problems relatel/ to insufficient salary sc~lle, poor work condition,rnpoor communication between teachers and tnanagement and poor technical support fromrncollege leaders & supervisors need immediate improvement to enhance TVET teachers'rnjob satis/action and theu to increase their c01l1mittnent to their profession.
