Background: Patient safety is an important principle of health service and now identified as arnglobal public health concern. Despite the benefits of rapidly advancing therapeutic and diagnostic rnpossibilities, the perioperative setting still exposes patients to significant risks of adverse eventsrnand harm. An anesthetist is in midstream of perioperative care and can make significantrncontributions to patient safety and patient outcomes. rnObjective: This study aimed to assess the knowledge, attitude and associated factors amongrnanesthetists towards patient safety in governmental referral Hospitals, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia rn2020/202. rnMethod: Cross-sectional study design was conducted in 13 governmental referral hospitals ofrnAddis Ababa from January to June 2021. All anesthetists who were available in the study period rnwere asked to participate in the study. From 274 anesthetists 238 participated. The data werernanalyzed with Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software version 24.0 and the valuernof the variables and their associated factors were checked its association with logistic regression.rnSignificance was determined at P-value
