N,N’-bis(3-quinoxaline-2-one)diaminopropane, (BQxDP) , and its complexes with metalrnions of Cd(II), Ni(II) ,Zn(II), Fe(II), Cr(III), Mn(II) and VO+2 were prepared andrncharacterized by IR, 1H & 13C NMR, electronic spectra and elemental analysis. The IR,rn1H NMR, electronic spectra and elemental analysis are consistent with the formation ofrnthe ligand (BQxDP). The elemental analysis, IR, electronic spectra are also consistentrnwith the formation of Fe(II) complex. The structures of metal complexes are proposed byrnthe IR spectra, quantitative tests of metals, chlorides sulphates and elemental analysis ofrnthe ligand. The IR spectra of all complexes indicate that the metal ions are coordinated tornthe azomethine nitrogen
