There were controversial research findings in regards to the association ofrnmarital satisfaction with religiosity and romantic attachment style and attituderntowards marriage especially about particular gender differences. For instance inrnServaty and Weber concerning the relationship between Gender and attituderntowards Marriage. Hence this research was intended to investigate the attituderntowards marriage and marital satisfaction, and whether the participants’ sexrnaffect or influence in attitude towards marriage and marital satisfaction. Thernstudy was conducted on 58 research participants who are married matrimoniallyrnin Debre Mihret St. Michael Church. Descriptive and inferential statistics werernemployed for data analysis. The study found that many participants (79.7%) hadrna positive attitude towards marriage. But some of the respondents don’t feelrnsatisfied and they don’t feel that their partner is a source of happiness forrnthemselves. Finally, though there is no significant gender difference over thernattitude towards marriage and marital life satisfaction the study showedrninsignificant difference when it compared the mean scores, where females hadrnbetter attitude towards marriage than males having a Mean score of 15.9865rnand 15.8286 respectively, and males were found to be more satisfied in theirrnmarital life than female participants having a Mean score of 10.9143 andrn10.7826 respectively.
