Schistosomiasis is one of the world health organizations (WHO), great neglected disease. It is thernsecond most prevalent tropical disease with 200 million people infected and 500 million at risk. Therndisease spread by cercaria infested water using fresh water snail as intermediate host .Intestinalrnschistosomiasis caused by Schistosoma mansoni infection is a widely distributed disease in severalrnlocalities of Ethiopia. Now there are about 4 million people reported to be infected and 30 million atrnrisk of schistosomiasis in the country. The major risk factors for increase prevalence of the parasiternare population movement and water development schemes.rnThe aims of this research is the assessment of schistosomiasis mansoni risk areas in relation withrnenvironmental factors and tries to analyze Schistosomiasis mansoni incidence with some of thernnatural and socio-economic factors using Remote sensing and GIS techniques using risk modelrndeveloped by shook.rnIt is indicated that 4020.5 harnhigh, 4462.5 harnmoderate and 17 ha Low level of schistosomiasisrnmansoni vulnerability, hence 47.3 percent, 52.5 percent and 2 percent of the study area respectivelyrnare subject to high moderate and low level of schistosomiasis mansoni susceptibility.
