This study was conducted on the conflict generating factors between teachers and principals in Kerkos sub city in governmental secondary schools in Addis Ababa City Administrative. Its major purpose was to identify conflict generating factors. Descriptive research (survey) method was employed to gather the required data from the specific populations‟ present condition. The target population of the study was secondary school teachers and principals and the samples were selected by using simple random, snow ball and purposive sampling techniques. To this effect, a structured questionnaire was prepared and administrated to 129teachersin Kirkos Sub City why they selected. Structured interview question were prepared and conducted with to, only eight principal, eight sub-city education experts as well as five sub-city Teachers‟ Association leaders for focus group discussion. Data analysis was made using the Statistical Packages for Social Science studies (SPSS). Percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, person correlation, and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) to identify if there were significant difference, similarity and relationship among the responses of the respondents on several variables. Moreover study shows that using Levantine Independent sample T-test analysis of the Conflicting generating as a sub-factor of the Respondents reply agreement variance test between groups, shows that there Conflict incidences in the school such as work negligence and discipline problem. Structural conflict generating factor is the first highest conflict generating factor and common in their schools and that discipline together with positive interdependency was maintained. This is an indication that some level of order exists but it could be varied from school to school instead of being well structured and widespread in all the schools as could be expected. personal conflict generating factor is the second highest conflict generating factor and common in their schools and that discipline together with positive interdependency was maintained in “sub-city educational supervisions are not conversant with teacher conflict issues and intervene effectively on issues that affect teachers and principals values was the main factor of conflict followed by „The teacher need are not effectively fulfill and concern which is always try to Solve conflict in school‟ and finally „Principal and teacher are not respect teachers effectively in the school†is affect how the teachers relate with each other in their schools.
