This study was conducted on the factors affecting teachers’ work motivation and de-motivation and jobrnsatisfaction in Assossa zone secondary schools. Its major purpose was to identify teachers’ workrnmotivation. The main objective of this study is to assess the practice of teachers work motivationrnand de-motivation in secondary schools of Assossa Zone. To accomplish this purpose, the studyrnemployed a mixed research design. The study was carried out under randomly selected eightrnsecondary schools of Assossa Zone. A total of 89 individuals participated in the study. Amongrnthem 85 teachers were included as a sample through simple random sampling. Additionally, 8rnsecondary school principals, 8 cluster supervisors and 4 Woreda education office teachers,rnprincipals and supervisors coordinators were included through purposive sampling technique.rnQuestionnaire and interview were the main instruments of data collection. The analysis of thernquantitative data was carried out by using percent, mean, and standard deviation. The targetrnpopulation of the study was secondary schools teachers.
