The main purpose of this study is to investigate the challenge and practice of leadership inrnresource mobilization of government secondary school in the case of Kolfe Keranyo Sub city.rnFor this purpose 6 of 8 secondary school found in the sub city were selected using simplernrandom sampling techniques. 148 participants involved in this study, 106 teachers, 18rnprincipals, 10 PTSA, 10 department heads and 4 supervisor or coordinators were selected byrnusing simple random techniques. The data pertaining to the basic research questions werernselected through questionnaires’ and interview both quantitative and qualitative method werernemployed for this study and collected data were analyzed using descriptive survey. Thernfinding reveals that lack of knowledge on resources mobilization followed by skill problem tornwrite and prepare proposal for resources collection and put in to practices amongrnstakeholders. Participation of stakeholder for resources mobilization is low followed byrnproblem of conducive environment to share their experiences to school leaders. Principalsrnqualified for the position was not committed to create awareness about resourcernmobilization. Stakeholders did not have similar awareness about resource mobilization, lackrnof consistent awareness raising training for stakeholders, lack of concerned and commitmentrnof the school community and their support is only in money because they didn’t havernknowledge of resource mobilization and not only the community but also all otherrnstakeholders; because of this most of them were not successful in leadership practices ofrnresource mobilization.
