Consequently, the main findings of this study were: the level of stakeholders’ involvement in school decision making found to be low in the sample school and less attention was given to their contribution for efficient and effective of school performance. Factors that hindered stakeholders’ participation in decision making in general were poor management role of the school leader; lack of trust and positive relationship, lack of training, work and time constraints, lack of commitment and reluctance, unfair assignment of principals; lack of enough encouragement, lack of proper supervision, monitoring and evaluation; lack of school leadership skill of school principals, unwillingness of recognition giving towards motivating and rewarding; lack of transparency, lack of financial incentives. This is because none of principals were qualified and/or took training in fields related with school leadership and management. The study concluded as the school principals might lack necessary leadership skill(from 33 only 6 of them graduated with EDPM), knowledge, good practices and positive attitude to attract. Student, PTAs and teachers’ should get greatest emphasis since they are engines and work in the school day to day activities decision made. As a result, school principals and Woreda Educational Officials need to update stakeholders’ skills and knowledge through training and regular discussion. Government and the concerned bodies should give strong attention to school leaders in up grading their education level, give short training, motivating, in supervising and specially give strong attention when school principals and from the position were also some of the major recommendations forwarded in order to improve stakeholder’s involvement in decision making.
