This study wascarried out to determine the prevalence and experience of combat rnrelated Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder among the population of armed force comprehensive rnspecialized hospital. Descriptive quantitative survey was carried out using questionnaire of rnPCL-5(DSM-5, post-traumatic stress disorder checklist) and CES (combat exposure scale) to rnscreen PTSD. Atotal of 85 respondents were studied comprising 78(91.8%) males and 7 rn(8.2%) females, from surgical and psychiatry department of Armedforce comprehensive rnspecialized hospital, which had experienced with combat related exposure. The overall rnprevalence of combat related Post Traumtic Stress Disorder among respondents was 57.6%, rnand the overall combat exposure experience among respondents was 38.8%. The results rnindicated that at p> 0.05, chi-square value= 2.851, difference (Df) =1 and Pearson coefficient rn(P-value) =0.091, there was no statistical significant relationship between and PTSD and rncombat exposure with respect to respondents in the combat related PTSD. At p< 0.05, chirnsquare value= 11.198, difference (Df) =1 and Pearson coefficient (P-value) =0.001, there was rna statistical significant relationship between combat exposure experience and PTSD rnprevalence among respondents.The prevalence and experience of combat related PTSD was rnhigh in this study. The researcher suggested, as it needs further assessment, referral to further rntreatment and resource for those combat related PTSD victims.
