The main purpose of the study was assessing the factors affecting school leadership effec tiveness and implication for school good governance in the secondary schools of Jida rnworeda. In order to meet the objectives, a descriptive design was used, and both quanti tative and qualitative methods were employed. Only two secondary schools were selected rnpurposively. The researcher used Census method for secondary school teachers for ques tionnaire. Interviews and FGD was selected purposively form populations. Data collect ed from both primary and secondary sources. Quantitative data gathered from question naires and semi-structured interview guides, and FGD were used for the purpose of col lecting relevant qualitative data. Data obtained through questionnaires were analyzed rnusing statistical tools like frequency, percentage, mean, average mean, and standard de viation. Moreover, data gathered through interviews and FGD was considered to com plement the questionnaires in narrative form. The collected data was analyzed through rnSPSS version 21 and to present the data statistical tools like the table and bar chart were rnused. The finding of the study showed that the factors affecting SLE in the study area rnwere the use of technology or ICT, professional development, resource availability and rnschool culture respectively. On the other hand, conflict management is not factor affect ing SLE. The study also revealed that lack of ICT infrastructure and utilization, lack of rncontinuous professional development and training, insufficient resource to run school rnactivities, weakness in creating conducive school culture and absence conflict manage ment and resolution of secondary school were the ways in which each factors affecting rnSLE. Furthermore, the study indicated that SLE has implication for promoting school rngood governance through Increase participation, Enhance accountability, Plan Strategic rnvision, Increase effectiveness and efficiency, promote equity, Increase transparency and rnEnhance openness. Finally, the researcher mainly recommended that, give attention to rnthe continuous professional development and training that initiate school leaders and rnteachers; stakeholders' participation and collaboration; schools need to think of theirrnown income generating sources on top of government budget through improving theirrnrelationship with school communities by developing project proposal and submit to in ternational donors, at provision and utilization of technology or ICT in the schools.
