The study aims at assessment of Human Resource Management Practices in EthiopianrnBroadcasting Corporation with due emphasis on practices of recruitment and selection,rnperformance management, training and development and reward management. The studyrnadopted a descriptive type research. Data collection was carried out using structuredrnquestionnaires. Systematic random sampling technique was used with 338 participantsrntaken from 2200 employees of the organization and data were presented in form of tablesrnemploying the use of frequency distribution, figures, percentages and means andrnanalyzed using descriptive statistics by the Statistical Package for Social Sciences(SPSS)rnversion 20.0. The findings of the study showed that there were different problemsrnidentified in each practices of human resource management like recruitment andrnselection mechanism is not properly using strategic human resource plan, performancernmanagement system is not implemented based on employees’ agreement, and rewardrnmanagement is not linked to performance management system etc. These practices werernlowly perceived by their employees in helping their performance. The researcherrnconcluded that the practices of HRM in the organization under study had beenrnimplementing with different problems on their processes. The study recommended thatrnthe organization need to reconsider the way that using its human resource managementrnpractices providing solutions to the identified problems towards improvingrnorganizational achievements
