These days, the use/implementation of computer in education is becoming increasinglyrnattractive. There is now a general understanding among workers in this area that thernapplication of computers in education can be categorized as TUTOR (CAI), TOOL andrnTUTEE . The TUTOR application (which is the subject of concern here) in particular, rnrelates to the use of computers as educational delivery systems where as the TOOL andrnTUTEE applications refers to the use of computer for performing certain tasks and forrnprogramming respectively.rnA typ ical eAl/TUTOR system consists of a COURSEWARE (a specially designedrnsoftware for classroom instructional use), along with the hardware and system softwarernrequired to run such software.rnAs with any other software, courseware development requires analysis of the requirementsrnfirst, in particular, answer to such basic questions as When to use a course ware? how torndesign (develop) a user friendly course ware and what factors to consider in the designrnof such a course ware.rnThis study attempts to address these questions by way of demonstrating the design andrndevelopment of a user friendly course ware using the available resources at SISA. Arnliterature survey of definitions, types and design considerations of watercourse along withrnthe main reasons behind the use and current development trends is presented. Among therndevelopment models suggested for the use in developing watercourse, the ISD model is
