This study seeks to appraise the role of organizational communication in enhancing work effectiveness on employees in the case of the Ethiopian Ministry of Revenue Head Office. It aims to achieve this by examining the role of the organizational flow of information on employee work effectiveness; assessing the role of the organizational communication model on employee work effectiveness; assessing the role of nature of information on employee work effectiveness and evaluating the role of information load on work effectiveness in case of Ethiopian Ministry of Revenue. Organizational communication is imperative for the functioning of any type of organization. When an organized collection of individuals work interdependently within a relatively structured, organized, and open system to achieve the common goals, get involved in communication and organizational communication. The organizational communication process assists in the generation of resources from the external environment to accomplish the goals of the organization. When understanding organizational communication, it is vital to acquire an understanding of the process, source, message, channel, and receiver. It is primarily when one individual or a group of individuals’ attempts to inspire the meaning in the mindsets of other individuals or groups of individuals through the utilization of various forms of communication. The study concluded that the interplay and harmony of effective organizational communication lead to work effectiveness. Therefore, there is a need to ensure that good communication strategies are employed in the organization.
