The two main reasons identified for lack of conceptualrnunderstanding in leadership are absence of higher educational institutions onrnleadership and lack of training on leadership . Organization members do notrnrecognize the importance of leadership for their organization's success mainlyrndue to belief that power is more important than effective leadership andrnconsideration of management and leadership as one and the same.rnThe education on leadership offered by Azusa Pacific University's andrnfacilitated by International Leadership Institute is said excellent in terms ofrncourse content, teaching methodology, academic staff capacity, and durationrnof the program . Grading system, follow-up and feedback mechanism, andrnreference materials availability are relatively the weak areas of Ill.rnThe leadership program of Azusa Pacific University is said to be veryrnexpensive and is not adequate to meet the very high demand forrnorganizational leadership development in Ethiopia. The main option cited isrnfor both government and Non-government Higher Educational Institutions tornengage in organizational leadership development.
