Background:In Ethiopia There are major challenges in the quality of services provided. First, rncontracted providers differ in their readiness in terms such as pharmacy services, laboratoryrnfacilities, reception, and outpatient services. Second, health facilities, especially hospitals, arernfrequently short of drugs and patients must buy items from outside (private) retailers. Healthrnfacilities attribute the shortages mainly to shortages at Pharmaceutical Fund and Supply Agencyrn(PFSA) hubs. The practice of moral hazard by pharmacists at contracted health facilities wasrnreported to exacerbate the shortages. Third, there are frequent breakdowns of medical equipment,rndue mainly to lack of preventive maintenance but also to health worker negligence andrnmishandling. Fourth, there are complaints about availability and capacity of staff. Finally, nornpilot woreda has systematic, regular, and standard mechanisms for collecting and properlyrnaddressing complaints.rnEvidence from the experience of countries worldwide informed Ethiopia's CBHI design, whichrneschewed small-scale, voluntary membership and included mechanisms to finance thernmembership of the poor. The willingness and ability to pay of the pilot woreda populationrnconducted by HSFR during the design phase as well as the assessment of readiness of facilities inrnthe pilot woredas to provide health services informed the design parameters.rnObjectives:Awareness and willingness to participate in a community based healthrninsurancescheme among household in Dubti woreda of, Afar region.rnMethodology: community based cross sectional study will be conduct from July 2018 up to Junern2019will use recorded information and, structured and pre-test questionnaire will develop andrnadminister to gather information. The data collect from structured questionnaire will be intered inrnto epi info and analyse by using latest version spss version21. Descriptive statistics as well asrnbivariate logit analysis and multi variate logistic regression will be used to asses factors affecting rnparticipation in a community based health insurance schemes in the study are.rnBudget: this study will be conduct in a way that minimizes cost, as try to mention below in rnbudget break down34,783.35 Ethiopian birr will need to perform the study. rn6
