Background: - The health management information system produces data about health servicernprovision and population health status to inform decision making and program planning at allrnlevels of the health system. Like other developing countries, the practice of utilizing healthrninformation is low in Ethiopia especially at the local level. Lack of adequate and up-to-daterninformation regarding routine health information utilization in Addis Ababa led to this study. rnObjectives:-To assess routine health information utilization and associated factors in publicrnhealth centers in Addis Ababa. rnMethods: - An institution based cross-sectional study using quantitative method was conductedrnin randomly selected 49 public health centers found in Addis Ababa from August-September,rn2020. To collect data, 441 health managers were selected using simple random samplingrntechnique. Self-administered structured questioner was used to collect data. EPI-info version 7rnand SPSS version 20 software were used for data entry and analysis respectively. Binary logisticrnregression model was used to identify factors that have significant association with routine healthrninformation utilization. Variables with p-value less than 0.2 in bi-variable analysis were selectedrnand exported in to multi-variable analysis. Finally p-value less than 0.05 at 95% confidencerninterval was used to determine the level of significance. rnResults: - A total of 416 study participants involved in the study and a response rate of 94% wasrnachieved.
