In the last couple of decades, life skill education was considered as one intervention program inrnyouth development initiatives. Life skill development was viewed as an important interventionrnfor youths to develop resilience and collective personality. This study was a quantitative researchrnthat employed quasi experimental design with retrospective analyses of life skill. Besides, it wasrnbased on Hendricks (1998) Model of Targeting Life Skill.This research was conducted on AddisrnAbaba Youth Association at Lideta Sub city and has examined life skill development in threernfeatures The first features of this study look at the contribution of selected youth developmentrnprograms for life skill development and found that the program has significant effect for allrnelements of life skill except for healthy life style choice. The second aspect of this paper hasrnstudied the influence of personal characteristics, program type & political affiliation on elementsrnof life skill and the result of the study indicates that the aforementioned variables have an effectrnon various elements of life skill at different level. The third dimension of this study researchedrnthe most important influential bodies in due process of developing selected elements of life skill.rnThe result of the study portrays that family comes first and followed by the youth Association,rnSchool, friends and others respectively
