The main purpose of this study was to investigate the implementation ofrnphysical education curriculum in second cycle primary schools of paisa area. Inrnview of this objective, an attempt was made on how far the approved curriculumrnwas implemented in second cycle primary school.rnThe study was carried out by using both quantitative and qualitative methods torndescribe what is describing, recording, analyzing and interpreting conditionsrnthat exist. The compositions of respondents are 7 teachers and 90 students and 3rndirectors, who were selected purposely for the study. Questionnaire, interviewrnand observation were the instruments of data collection. The data gatheredrnthrough questionnaire and interview was analyzed using percentage.rnThe study showed that the implementation of physical education curriculum inrnsecond cycle primary schools of paisa area did not properly achieve the intendedrnstandard. Curriculum inputs such as the approved syllabuses, textbooks,rnteachers’ guides and other instructional and practical materials in most thernschools the absence of adequate professionals in physical education was arnpersistent problem that hinder the school to properly follow and implement thernphysical education curriculum.rnFurthermore, the study had revealed that the schools were ill-equipped with therndesired minimum conditions and requirements of the primary school andrnlearning facilities. Based on the findings,appropriate recommendations are alsornforewarded
